Beth Koss


With more than 25 years of industry knowledge and experience Beth Koss holds the position of President for Benchmark Systems. In her role Ms. Koss is responsible for leading the senior executive team as well as planning and oversight of all operational, legal and financial aspects of the business. Prior to taking on her current role in October of 2011, Ms. Koss held the position of Chief Financial Officer where she was responsible for the overall financial and accounting practices of the organization and subsidiaries and Chief Operating Officer overseeing the day to day operations of revenue cycle, support, technical services, and implementation and training.

Prior to joining Benchmark in 1989, Ms. Koss held various accounting and IT roles. From 1987-1989, Ms. Koss worked in accounting and IT for the YMCA of Central VA. Prior to that, from 1985-1987, she was a staff accountant for Lipscomb Accounting in Lynchburg, VA. Ms. Koss holds an MBA from Liberty University, Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Scott Scecina

Director of Research and Development


In his role as Manager of Research and Development, Scott Scecina has more than 20 years of industry experience in the areas of technology and software development. Reporting to Benchmark’s President, Mr. Scecina is a member of the Company’s executive leadership team. Mr. Scecina is responsible for the company’s software development, knowledge-based platforms, and corporate IT. Mr. Scecina has held progressively increasing roles of responsibility with the Company such as Research & Development Team Leader and Senior Programmer.

Prior to joining Benchmark in 2004, he served as Vice President and Chief Engineer for In Mind, Inc., from 1994 to 2004. In Mind, Inc. was one of the first 100 ISP’s in the nation. Mr. Scecina studied Computer Science at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.

Joe Falcomata

Director of Business Development

 With more than 20 years of technology and project management experience, As Director of Business Development Mr. Falcomata is responsible for sales and marketing as well as Implementation and Training. Reporting to Benchmark’s President, Joe is a member of the Company’s executive leadership team. Mr. Falcomata and his team are responsible for all aspects of the new client experience.

Prior to joining Benchmark, Mr. Falcomata held the position of Director of Training and Implementation with Curas, Inc. in St. Louis, MO, from 2006-2012. Mr. Falcomata also worked for Quilogy from 1999-2006 starting as a Senior Consultant and taking on increasing responsibilities, rose to the position of General Manager.

Mr. Falcomata holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO. He is also certified as a Microsoft CRM Professional, an eClinicalWorks Gold Certified Trainer and MSCD, and MCT.

Lisa Hall

Director of Finance

Lisa Hall is responsible for Benchmark’s financial strategies and finance organization. She manages accounting and financial planning and analysis.

Reporting directly to Benchmark’s President, Lisa Hall is a member of the Company’s executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and directing the implementation of all aspects of the company’s business strategies for growth and scalability. Ms. Hall joined Benchmark in August 2005, bringing more than 15 years of business experience in financial services and operations.

Prior to joining Benchmark, Ms. Hall worked for Amerisource-Bergen. Ms. Hall began her career with Amerisource-Bergen in 1991, holding progressively increasing roles of responsibility, the most recent being Regional Financial Analyst for the Northeast Region of Amerisource-Bergen. Ms. Hall earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Radford University in Virginia.

Carolyn Fox

Director of Human Resources

With more than 15 years of experience in human resources management, Carolyn Fox leads Benchmark Systems’ Human Resources group as a member of Benchmark’s executive leadership team. Her responsibilities include benefit and human resources administration, organization design, talent recruitment, management and development.

Prior to joining Benchmark in 2004, Carolyn Fox served in human resources management positions at Amerisource-Bergen, beginning in 1998 and ending in 2004. While at Amerisource-Bergen, she developed and managed the recruiting strategy and served on the executive HR management team for the Lynchburg and Richmond, Virginia divisions.

Carolyn Fox holds an MBA from Liberty University, a Bachelor of Science degree from Radford University, and a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Society for Human Resource Management.

Nathan Lane

Director of Client Services

With more than 10 years of industry knowledge, Mr. Lane is responsible for Benchmark’s Software Client Support. Reporting to Benchmark’s President, Nathan Lane is a member of the Company’s executive leadership team. Mr. Lane’s organization ensures that Benchmark’s software support efforts fulfill the needs of and engages with clients directly.

Prior to his management role, Mr. Lane has held progressively increasing roles of responsibility within the Company as; Software Support Team Leader, Software Support Analyst for Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.

Mr. Lane holds an Associates of Science degree from Piedmont Virginia Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Longwood College in Farmville, VA. Mr. Lane is currently pursuing his MBA from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, VA.
